Steal It is a fast first-person team shooter where every round is a heist: the glowing HYRO core sits in the middle of the map, and every team has an armored truck. Hold the core inside your truck’s zone for five seconds and you win. On top of that: a Battle Royale with a helicopter drop and a closing storm, a Creative mode for screenshots and trailers and a stylized low-poly look.

The core game

The Heist

How a round of the default mode “Steal the Core” plays out.

Grab the core

The HYRO core sits in the middle of the map. Pick it up and a short fly-in animation plays: the core lands in its own inventory slot (key 8).

Carry

The carrier glows for everyone to see, and a marker shows the distance. You can’t shoot while holding the core; press G to drop it.

Deliver

Five seconds in the zone around your own armored truck. Leave the zone and you start over. “ALMOST HOME!” warns everyone else.

Win

A camera sweep shows the delivery, then the full-screen end screen with stats, XP breakdown and level-up.

The core comes down in the middle of Downtown, marked by rings of light

A downed carrier: the core lies on the street, free for anyone to grab
The carrier is down – the core is up for grabs

The counterplay is half the fun. Take out the carrier and you earn the “DENIED” medal. The core drops where the carrier stood, and anyone can grab it. That turns every round into a chase across the whole map.

  • Health and shield are 100 each. Shield is refilled with soda, health with coconuts.
  • Respawn after 3 seconds, 1.5 seconds longer for each additional teammate. Brief spawn protection with a golden screen border.
  • After you die, a card shows who got you (weapon, distance, remaining health). Then you spectate a teammate; left-click switches.
  • After every round everyone votes on the next map and keeps playing right away.

Game Modes

Every mode can be played as Solo, Duo, Trio or Team against bots, as Casual or Ranked. Online play is coming in a later update.

Classic

Steal the Core

The heist as intended: core in the middle, truck at home, all weapons, all tricks.

Limited

Sniper Heist

Sniper rifles only. Long sightlines, big headshots, and the core carrier is everyone’s target.

Limited

Pump Panic

Pump shotguns only. Every corner is a duel: push in, grab the core, never stand still.

New

Moon Heist

One third of gravity (35 %). Jump onto rooftops, float over fights, drop onto the carrier from above.

New

Team Deathmatch

No core, just the fight. The first team to the kill target wins (10 + 8 per player on the team), otherwise the best team after 8 minutes.

Coming soon

Zone Wars

Capture and hold five zones. Every zone you hold scores points each second; first to 250 wins.

Mixed

Rotation

A random mode every round: heists, deathmatch, sniper, moon gravity. Map vote after every round, without returning to the lobby.

New

Battle Royale

Up to 24 players, helicopter, parachute, loot and a storm that keeps closing in. Details below.

Sandbox

Creative

Alone on the chosen map: every weapon with infinite ammo, no damage, no time limit. N changes the time of day, B starts the drone.

Big feature

Battle Royale

Last one standing, or last squad. On the map you picked in the lobby.

Drop

  • Everyone starts in a white-and-red helicopter that flies a random line across the map. A zoom animation leads into the game, and you can hear the rotor.
  • Space to jump. At the end of the route everyone jumps automatically.
  • The dive follows your view: steeply down means falling fast, looking at the horizon means gliding far. Plus wind sound and wind streaks.
  • Around 25 m above the ground your own parachute opens, selectable in the locker (round, red-and-white striped and more designs).

Loot & combat

  • Everyone lands without a weapon. Weapons are scattered across the whole map; pick up with E.
  • Whoever is eliminated drops all their weapons: they fly out of the body in a circle, bounce once and stay put.
  • No team colors, no team diamonds and no trucks. The minimap shows only you and the storm.
  • No respawns. After you’re out you watch your squad, then your opponent.

Squads

  • Solo, Duo, Trio or 4-player team. Bots fill empty slots.
  • You recognize teammates by their green name above their head. No friendly fire.
  • Your bot teammates jump with you and land next to you.
  • If your squad wins, everyone gets 1st place, even those who fell earlier.

The Storm

The circle initially covers the whole map and then closes in phases. Each new circle lies at a random spot inside the old one. Outside you take damage every second, with a purple wall and a purple screen tint. The banner shows when it moves.

Phase 1
1 damage/s
Phase 2
2 damage/s
Phase 3
4 damage/s
Phase 4
6 damage/s
Phase 5
8 damage/s
Phase 6
10 damage/s

Bar = size of the safe circle at the start of the phase (share of the starting circle). Wait times from 60 to 15 s, shrinking from 40 to 15 s; in the final phase it closes completely.

Maps & World

Every round starts at a different time of day. Morning, noon, evening and night each have their own mood and effects.

The Woods at dusk: pines, a water tower and a watchtower in the mist
Map 1

The Woods

Deep forest for close combat, with cabins, trailers and two wooden towers. You can climb the ladders and look over the railing at the top. Fireflies at night.

Downtown from above: crossings, taxis, a gas station and a factory
Map 2

Downtown

City blocks with long streets and tight corners, surrounded by an entire city as backdrop. Street lamps turn on at night.

Dusty Desert at golden hour: clay houses between palm trees
Map 3

Dusty Desert

A sun-scorched village with open sand and narrow alleys. Heat shimmers at noon, sand blows in the evening, and hot-air balloons drift above the map.

  • Morning: ground fog, sunbeams, flocks of birds.
  • Noon: leaves (forest), scraps of paper (city) or sand veils (desert), heat shimmer.
  • Evening: golden floating particles, lamps turn on, stronger sand wind.
  • Night: stars, fireflies, night fog, moths around the lamps.
  • Map previews in the lobby, plus “Random”. A map vote after every round.

Every weapon has a fixed rarity – you see it by its glow, the ring on the ground and, from Epic up, a beam of light. Plus grenades.

The legendary jetpack glowing gold on the forest floor

Legendary jetpack

Lies somewhere on the map once or twice per match. Pick it up, hold space in mid-air and take off – the tank lasts five seconds, then you glide down gently.

Gadgets & vehicles

  • Place ladders, barricades, ropes and ziplines yourself.
  • Pick up a bear trap and set it where you want.
  • Drive cars – whoever gets hit goes flying. Ride horses.

Items

  • Soda: +50 shield, 1.5 s to drink.
  • Coconut: +40 health, 2 s to eat.
  • Tap E = use immediately. Hold E = store in inventory.
  • Inventory bar with 7 slots (4 weapons + 3 items) plus a separate core slot. V opens a large inventory screen for rearranging via drag & drop.
On foot in The Woods: pines, grass and a big barn

Movement

  • Sprint, jump, crouch (toggle) and slide out of a sprint.
  • Ladders on the watchtowers: climb up and automatically pull yourself onto the platform at the top.
  • Fall damage from about 4 m. Jumping off the big tower costs around 80 health.
  • Moving or shooting in mid-air increases spread; crouching stabilizes.
Game Feel

Game Feel

Many small systems make every hit and every movement feel right.

Recoil you can learn

Every weapon has a fixed pattern. The AK climbs straight up for a few shots, then drifts left and right — it can be practiced. Plus weapon kick, muzzle flash, smoke and ejected shells.

Hit feedback

Hit markers for body, shield and head, dedicated indicators for “HEADSHOT” and “SHIELD BROKEN”, damage numbers above the enemy, red arcs pointing toward the attacker and a red tint at low health.

Medals

First Blood, Double Kill, Triple Kill, Denied (carrier stopped), Payback (revenge on your own killer) and Last Stand (kill at almost no health).

Living bodies

Hands really grip the weapon via IK, bodies lean into turns, spring on landings and flinch when hit. The fallen go ragdoll in the direction of the shot and come to rest after 5 seconds.

Sound visualization

Footsteps, shots and core sounds can be shown as an indicator around the crosshair. It helps with hearing and is good for accessibility.

Kill effects & tracers

Where your opponents fall, your kill effects play (confetti, fireworks, pixels and more). Your shots leave tracers in your tracer color.

AI

Bots that feel like players

  • Bots fill every lobby and play all modes: they grab the core, escort the carrier, defend the truck and capture zones.
  • Human reaction time and a real field of view: no instant flicks, no aiming through walls. Their aim gets more accurate the longer they track a target.
  • They take cover, strafe in open fights, turn toward sounds, reload between fights and use soda and coconuts when hurt.
  • In Battle Royale they look for a weapon first, pick up more along the way and run into the safe zone in time before the storm.
  • Bots wear random looks, so every round looks a little different.
